I love old sayings. I was raised on a steady diet of them. My parents were hill people in Izard County Arkansas until they moved to Missouri. That's what I thought of today while I have people working on my computer and doing errands and I am doing a birthday party and talking to Julia, the honoree: Everything is lovely and the goose is hanging high! (We used to raise chickens --I sort of know about hanging the dead chicken out of the reach of foxes) never did it, don't want to but know what the expression means --everything is on dead ready and the obstacles have been jumped.l)
That's where I am today. Getting the flaps tied down for the week and knowing that this will be a good think for Julia to think about this week. She deserves this --no one is guaranteed another day!
