Don't waste your life

Just have bought in to John Piper and his writings! I see that Daniel Shelby has reviewed this book also!  Piper says:  "God created us to live with a single passion to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life!  The wasted life is the life without this passion!"

I think, on reflection, that this has a crucial bearing on why I am so troubled and adrift about the gulfs in my own family.  I build relationships!  That is my strength and gift!  But my siblings and their families...that seems to be an unspannable abyss to me mentally!

I need to concentrate on those who make the effort to reach out!  God says that is enough!  I believe him!
